Hero of the game, Tom Abell says he is very pleased with a win, they were desperate for one. Adds they have a very good unit and the bowlers executed nicely. Ends by saying, he along with Jonny Bairstow wanted to stay there till as long as they could and that would help them win.
London Spirit made a spirited effort with the ball! Daniel Worrall was excellent, he got the new ball to move and got early wickets for his side. However, apart from him, the others failed to take any wickets. and that is where the game slipped away. Also, the move to bring Daryl Mitchell towards the end was not the right one and that is what caused London Spirit the game.
Not an extremely comfortable chase for Welsh Fire but they will be hpappy to get over the line in the end. Chasing a low score, they lost a lot of wickets at the start but Jonny Bairstow and Tom Abell played smartly and turned the tide into their favor. Just as the game seemed to be drifting completely into Welsh Fire's favor, Jonny Bairstow fell. Tom Abell though along with Glenn Phillips, kept calm and took their side over the line.
