Wahab Riaz, the skipper of Deccan Gladiators, says that the players know their roles quite well and that is pleasing. Says that there are things that they would look to improve on, especially in the batting department.
Wanindu Hasaranga is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH! He says that always tries to get wickets and apply pressure on the batters. Credits his coach for helping him in the competition.

Northern Warriors had a tough task with the ball. Josh Little, Abhimanyu Mithun, Imran Tahir and Samit Patel did take a wicket each and sent back the top order of Deccan Gladiators quite early. But a total of 70 is not at all easy to defend in this format. If only they had a few more runs on the board, things could have been different.
Deccan Gladiators would have wanted to chase this in as few overs as possible and they came out all guns blazing. They lost one wicket in each of the first 4 overs, but Moores and Wiese were there to see them off in the 8th over of the chase.
A comfortable victory of Deccan Gladiators in the end. They did lose early wickets but the target was a low one and there wouldn't have been any nerves in the camp. As far as the Northern Warriors are concerned, their search for the first win of the season continues.
