Right then, the Australians managed a brilliant victory dominating in all facets of the game against the West Indies and retaining the top spot on the points table. Eleanor Larosa is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for her spectacular bowling figures. She says that the aim was simple to target the stumps. Adds that as a pace bowler, she has worked on the pace offs and other variations. Mentions that the team had things under control and all the players did their job well.

The pair of Lucy Hamilton and Kate Pelle did well in the middle to stitch up a partnership and then the game was finished well by Caoimhe Bray and Ella Briscoe, getting their team to a win in just 10.5 overs with 7 wickets in hand.
West Indies Women Under-19 were asked to bat first and it was a disappointing performance by the batters. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and Australia Women Under-19 kept capitalising. Only two batters could cross the double digits and it was just a procession for the rest. Eleanor Larosa picked 2 wickets for just 6 runs in her 4 overs and with support from the other bowlers, Australia women managed to bowl out West Indies Women Under-19 for a mere 53 runs on the board.

In Adelaide, the third and the final WT20I of the Women's Ashes has just kicked off with Australia Women opting to bat first against England Women. In franchise cricket, it is a double-header day as both the International League T20 and the SA20 League serve back-to-back matches for all your entertainment.
Talking about cricket elsewhere, news coming in from Multan is not quite pleasing for West Indies. The tourists from the Caribbean have been bundled out on a meager total of 163 runs and it just took the first session of the first day for Paksitan to do so. Batters' nemesis on Pakistani soil, Noman Ali snagged a spectacular 6-fer while the others too chipped in with timely wickets. For West Indies, Gudakesh Motie was the highest score, and the only one who could score a half-century. Interestingly, the top order failed to provide any momentum, and it was the tailenders who propelled the tourists to this total. Out of 163, the tailenders contributed with 106 runs with the numbers 10 and 11 both crossing the 20-run mark.
UPDATE - 8.06 am GMT - Well, rain may have interrupted this game, but there is some positive news coming in from Sarawak. The weather has shown some mercy over there and Match number 4 between Ireland Women Under-19 and South Africa Women Under-19 is just about to begin. The toss has just taken place and Ireland Women Under-19 have opted to field first. While we wait for the rain to stop in Bangi, you can simply switch tabs and follow that game for now!
UPDATE - 8 am GMT - Uh, oh! A threateningly dark cloud is lurking just above the ground and it has gotten fairly dark out there. We can already see a few raindrops pouring down. The ground staff is all prepared with the covers near the ropes. Ughhh! There come the sheets out in the middle as the rain has gotten a bit harder now. The umpires request the players to get off the field. And now, the pitch and the squares have been fully covered.
