The three-member Justice Lodha Committee will submit its report on IPL fixing and betting scandal to the Supreme Court by the third week of July. The first part of the report will detail the quantum of punishment for the two franchises -- Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, as well as their officials -- Gurunath Meyiappan and Raj Kundra. The recommendations will be binding on the Board. The second part, on restructuring of the cricket Board, will come later. (Timeline: Complete IPL spot-fixing saga)
The Justice Lodha Committee, comprising Justice RM Lodha, Justice Ashok Bhan and Justice RV Raveendran, has trained the spotlight on a variety of areas of BCCI's functioning.
The panel headed by the former chief justice of India, has also been asked by the Supreme Court to decide the fate of IPL chief operating officer, Sundar Raman.
Justice Lodha has told NDTV that his panel is confident of submitting the disciplinary aspect of the report in time. The court appointed the committee in January, asking it to submit its report in six months.
