Earlier, a superb bowling effort helped the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side restrict the Lankans to 65 for 9 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet. Renuka Singh Thakur claimed three wickets while Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sneh Rana claimed two wickets each. Sri Lanka have set a target of 66 runs for India in the final match of the Women's Asia Cup in Sylhet. India put a brilliant show with the ball. Sri Lanka Chamari Athapaththu was run out at the start and India kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals to keep the side at bay. As a result, the Lankans could post only 65 runs on the board despite playing the entire 20 overs.
