Gavin Hamilton's first one-day international century helped Scotland inflict Ireland's second defeat in two days with a five-wicket win on Wednesday.
Former Yorskhire and England cricketer Hamilton's 115 off 152 balls helped Scotland surpass Ireland's total of 210 for eight with 15 balls to spare.
Victory saw Scotland set up a triangular series final against New Zealand, who thrashed Ireland by a record 290 runs on Monday.
That was the biggest margin of victory in the history of one-day international cricket, surpassing India's 257-run defeat of Bermuda at last year's World Cup.
This game was somewhat closer. Scotland were in trouble after the loss of two early wickets before a thgird-wicket stand of 122 between Hamilton, who struck 13 fours, and local hero Colin Smith (59) turned the game their way.
Earlier South Africa-born pace bowler Dewald Nel, formerly of Worcestershire, took a Scottish ODI record four for 25.
