Seamers Saurabh Bandekar and Robin D'souza combined together to steer Goa to an impressive 161 runs victory over Jharkhand in the Plate division Ranji Trophy match at the MCC ground, on Wednesday.
Resuming at their overnight second innings score of 54/4, overnight batsmen Amir Hashmi and Saurabh Tiwari, tried to resist the inevitable, by adding 44 runs for the fifth wicket before Hashmi was trapped infront of the wicket by Robin D'Souza for 24.

With only one run being added to the score, Kuldeep Sharma (0) edged the ball to wicket-keeper Ajay Ratra of Bandekar. He finished with a fifer for the third time in his career.

Delighted with the victory, Goa coach Doda Ganesh said, "Its a team effort and all the boys played well. The two successive wins has boosted our confidence before our matches against Haryana and Himachal Pradesh."
With this win, Goa has 10 points from three matches whereas Jharkhand remain on three points from as many matches.
Goa had to forfeit one point that they could muster against Kerala, after BCCI docked the points they won in that game for fielding four outstation players. The hosts were also fined Rs five lakh.
