There are three heats in total. Top 2 of each heat qualifies for the final, and the best two times among the rest. So Palaksha and Tamilarasan will have to wait to know their fates.

India have been brilliant in boxing today as well. The pugilists have assured the side of five medals, taking the total tally in the sport to nine.

Sakshi Choudhary (Women's 51kg), Arundhati Choudhary (Women's 70kg), Sachin Siwach (Men's 60kg), Ankush Yadav (Men's 80kg) and Narender Berwal (Men's 90 kg) are the boxers who have secured at least a bronze medal each.

India's Dinesh Kumar and Navneet Singh will be in action in the Men's Pairs Sectional Play against Namibia. The contest is set to begin at 8:55 PM IST.

Sprinter Animesh Kujur finished 7th overall across 10 heats to qualify for the semi-finals of the men's 200m event. Superb running from India's national record holder, who registered a season's best timing of 20.46s.

Complete dominance from Sakshi! She swept the final round with another unanimous verdict, securing a 5-0 victory over Northern Ireland's Caitlin Fryers to march into the semi-finals. With this win, India are assured of their 17th medal in Glasgow!

Once again, Sakshi made the most of her height advantage against Fryers. A bit of pushing and shoving saw both boxers end up on the canvas. Sakshi showcased amazing footwork and slips to keep her opponent at bay, while landing crisp jab-cross-hook combinations. The Indian boxer kept moving around the ring with ease, securing a unanimous decision in Round 2 despite a point deduction for a warning.

Sakshi used her range beautifully as her opponent kept looking for points. The Indian boxer relied heavily on jabs in the first round, keeping Caitlin Fryers in check. The two couldn't exchange many blows, with Sakshi slipping well and constantly changing positions to stay out of danger. Sakshi gets the unanimous verdict!

India's Sakshi is in action as her Women's 51kg quarter-final bout gets underway. A victory here against Northern Ireland's Caitlin Fryers will move her into the semi-finals while assuring India's 17th medal in Glasgow.

Animesh Kujur topped his heat with a season's best timing of 20.46s. He currently sits 4th overall with six heats remaining. It remains to be seen whether he will advance, as only the top 16 fastest runners across the 10 heats make it to the semi-finals.

Next up, Animesh Kujur's Men's 200m heat is about to get underway. He holds a personal best of 20.32s and a season's best of 20.47s. The 16 fastest athletes overall across the heats will advance to the semi-finals.

Both Tajinderpal Singh Toor and Samardeep Singh Gill have qualified for the Men's Shot Put Final. Toor finished 2nd overall in the qualification round with a throw of 21.03m, while Samardeep finished 4th with a 19.95m attempt. The Indian duo will compete for medals in the final tomorrow at 11:30 PM IST.

India's Animesh Kujur will be in action shortly in the Men's 200m Round 1. He features in Heat 4 of 10, with the 16 fastest athletes overall advancing to the semi-finals.

India's Chaitanya Vishwas Kulkarni and Suyash Narayan Jadhav have qualified for the final of Commonwealth Games 2026, Men's 50m Freestyle S7. Chaitanya, who was in Sports Class S6, recorded a time of 32.77, while Suyash recorded 35.35 in S7. The final event, which will determine the medal, is scheduled to take place at 12:16 AM (Thursday, IST)

Samardeep Singh Gill failed to improve on his second throw, landing at 19.75m after an opening effort of 19.95m. However, he should still be safe, with 12 out of the 15 competitors advancing to the final.

Tajinder Pal Singh Toor qualifies for the men's shot put final with a throw of 20.14m on his second attempt. All eyes are on Samardeep now as he aims to join him in the medal event.

First-throw updates from the Men's Shot Put: Neither Samardeep Singh Gill nor Tajinderpal Singh Toor hit the automatic qualification mark on their opening attempts. Samardeep's 19.95m throw puts him 4th, while Tajinderpal sits right behind in 5th with 19.93m.

India's Tajinderpal Singh Toor and Samardeep Singh Gill are both in action in the Men's Shot Put Qualifying Round. Tajinder is competing in Group A, while Samardeep is in Group B. Given their recent form, both could make it through to the final. New Zealand's Tom Walsh remains the favourite for the gold!

India's Sajan Prakash finished 5th in Heat 4 of the Men's 200m Freestyle with a time of 1:51.99. Aneesh S Gowda, on the other hand, placed 7th in Heat 5 with a timing of 1:51.64. Aneesh and Sajan sit 18th and 20th overall, ending India's run in the event.

Sanjana is only the second Indian weightlifter in the Glasgow Games to not win a medal. Nirupama Devi Seram didn't register a single clean lift in the clean and jerk round yesterday. Hence, was knocked out.

Next up for India would be Swimming, where Sajan Prakash and Aneesh S Gowda will compete in Men's 200m Freestyle Heats.

Scotland's Agata Herbert arrives to try a 94kg snatch, but she couldn't succeed this time. Sanjana, looks more confident this time, but the result is the same. She fails to lift 94kg again, and that's the end of the Glasgow Games for her. This is Truly a SHOCKER!

Andueza's second attempt is also unsuccessful. A failure in the third attempt too, meaning, the Glasgow Games are over for her!

Kaitlin Saunders successfully lifts 82kg in her first snatch attempt but fails to lift 85kg on her second attempt. Her third attempt is also an unsuccesful one!

Warm-ups are over, and athletes have arrived to start the event. Norther Ireland's Kaitlin Saunders is the first one out. Sanjana faces tough competition from England's Isabella Brown and Canada's Rosalie Dumas for a spot on the podium. The two have listed their snatch weights higher than Sanjana's, and could go up on their clean and jerk weights too later in the event.

The Women's 77kg final is set to begin, with India's Sanjana competing for a podium spot. Samoa's Seine Stowers is the top contender for gold medal.

India’s Sanjana has registered her lifts at 94kg in Snatch and 122kg in Clean & Jerk, taking her entry total to 216kg in the Women’s 77kg Weightlifting event. In terms of weights lifted, she is only behind only Samoa’s Seini Stowers with 235kg. A podium finish is on the cards!

Weightlifter Harjinder Kaur, standing just 5ft 3in, produced the performance of her career to claim silver in the women's 69kg category. The 29-year-old rewrote the Commonwealth Games record twice each in both the snatch and clean and jerk, upgrading the bronze she had won in the 71kg category at Birmingham four years ago and delivering India's seventh weightlifting medal of the Games.

Gulveer Singh became the first Indian to win a Commonwealth Games medal in the men's 10,000m event, producing a remarkably assured performance on a rain-soaked track to clinch a silver in Glasgow. The national record holder's medal was India's second silver in athletics at the Games after Sarvesh Kushare's podium finish in the men's high jump event. The Indian clocked 27:49.78 seconds to claim silver, finishing behind Australia's Ky Robinson, who won gold with a timing of 27:48.93 seconds on Tuesday.
