Former triple Olympic Champion Marion Jones has been cleared of doping charges after her 'B' Sample tested negative on Thursday.The American sprinter's initial sample had tested positive for the banned blood-boosting drug erythropoietin in June. Winner of five medals at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, Jones had always maintained that she had never taken performance-enhancing drugs and had never failed a doping test previously.However, Jones had been under scrutiny by the US Anti-Doping Agency in connection with the Balco laboratory doping scandal. The 30-year-old would have faced a two-year ban from the sport had her 'B' sample tested positive.
