After today's quarter-final matches were washed out, the semifinal line-up has been confirmed. It could potentially be an India vs Pakistan final in the Asian Games. The semifinals will be held on Thursday.

India's quartet of Harshita Jakhar, Pooja Danole, Meenakshi Rohilla, and Swasti Singh finishes fifth out of five teams in the qualifying round with a time of 4:45.151. India finishes 30.655 seconds behind top-ranked host nation Japan, who set an Asian Games record time of 4:14.496.

Despite ending last, India advances to the next round alongside Japan, China, South Korea, and Uzbekistan, as all five competing teams qualify for the head-to-head heats.

The final series of 25 shots is underway in the qualification round. India’s Shapath Bharadwaj, sitting on 95/100 after two days of competition, remains well-placed to qualify for the individual final, while Kynan Chenai completes his qualification round with a total score of 115.

The Indian trio of Rojit Singh Yanglem, David Beckham Elkatohchoongo, and Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam finishes last among the seven teams to set a time in sprint qualifying, clocking 44.895 seconds, while Thailand registers a DNF.

In the first round, India faces China, who set the second-fastest qualifying time.

Joshna Chinappa defeats Najmeh Boushehrizadeh 3-0 (11-1, 11-3, 11-9) to seal a clean sweep for India against Iran. Maintaining a perfect record with three wins from three group matches, India advances to the quarter-finals.

An 11-7 win in the third game wraps up the contest for Anahat Singh and India. After Tanvi Khanna got a walkover, Anahat broke little sweat to get the better of Iran’s Fereshteh Eghtedari. A 3-0 win for Anahat earns India wins in the first two matches. Joshna Chinappa next!

An 11-4 win for Anahat Singh in the second game gives her a 2-0 lead in the second match of the contest. Fereshteh has been no match for the Indian in this match. Another win in the third game would be enough for India to conclude the Pool C contest.

Celestina, Sarita Kumari, and Keerthi Rangaswamy Chikka finish sixth out of six teams in qualifying, recording a time of 50.414 seconds, 3.742 seconds off leaders China.

With qualifying purely determining seedings for the next round, the sixth-fastest time pairs against the fourth-fastest time, pitting India against Chinese Taipei in Heat 1.

The qualification round for both the men’s and women’s individual trap events reaches its final stretch, with shooters taking their last 25 shots out of 125 before the finalists are determined.

In the women’s event, Neeru leads the Indian squad with a score of 95/100, while Aashima Ahlawat and Maneesha Keer are both on 84/100.

In the men’s event, Shapath Bharadwaj leads the Indian field on 95/100, followed by Kynan Chenai on 91/100 and Ahvar Rizvi on 87/100.

The team medals will be decided based on the aggregate scores of each country's three shooters in the qualification round, in both men's and women's events.

A comfortable start for Anahat Singh against Iran’s Fereshteh Eghtedari. The Indian takes the first Game of the second match 11-5. This should be a fairly straightforward contest for the Asian Games women’s singles silver medallist.  

The India vs Iran Pool C match begins with India taking a 1-0 lead through Tanvi Khanna. Tanvi won the first game 11-5 before her opponent, Narges Soltani retired hurt. In the match 2, India's Anahat Singh will take on Fereshteh Eghtedari in another singles match. 

In both men’s and women’s trap team finals, India is occupying the No. 2 spot in the standings. As Day 3 of the event begins, both standings are currently led by China. A medal is highly likely in both events, but India needs to push to ensure it is yellow in colour.

That's the end of the road for Vipin Kumar in men's 66kg Kurash. He goes down 0-3 to South Korea's Hyeonsu Yoon and fails to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Brilliant, brilliant by Neeraj Chauhan as pulls off a stunning upset by knocking out South Korea's second seed and multiple Olympic medallist, Kim Je Deok. After taking an early 3-1 lead, Neeraj sees Kim level the scores at 3-3, before a tied set pushes the match to 4-4. Neeraj holds his nerve in the deciding set to seal a famous win, advancing to meet Bhutan's Dorji Lam in the quarter-finals.

Starting the first medal event of the day is India's Vipin Kumar in the men's 66kg round 16. He will subsequently feature in the quarterfinals, semifinal, and final today. A progression to the semifinal would assure Vipin at least a bronze medal. 

Top seed Dhiraj Bommadevara sails smoothly into the Round of 16 with a dominant 6-0 straight-sets victory over the Philippines' Girvin Garcia. Dhiraj wrapped up the match in just nine shots, impressively landing six 10s along the way. He will next take on Chinese Taipei's Cheng Hsiang-Hui.

Meanwhile, Neeraj Chauhan launched a spirited comeback to join his compatriot in the Round of 16. After trailing 0-4 following the opening two sets, Neeraj rallied to win the next three sets straight. His reward is a clash against South Korea's Kim Je Deok.

India’s surfing campaign at the 2026 Asian Games has come to an end following Kishore Kumar Anbarasu's defeat to Toby Espejon of the Philippines in the men's shortboard quarter-finals.

Kishore posted a total heat score of 5.37 from his top two waves (3.00 and 2.37), falling short of Espejon's winning total of 8.53. Despite the loss, Kishore’s run to the quarter-finals stands out as the finest performance among the Indian surfing contingent.
