... THIRD INNINGS ...

Australia, on the other hand, will be delighted with their bowling effort here. Mitchell Starc gave them the perfect start on Day 3 and Pat Cummins built on that really well with his bowling and captaincy. However, they were also helped by some really poor shot selection from the English batters. Starc was the pick of the bowlers with his three wickets while Josh Hazlewood and Travis Head got a couple each and Cummins, Nathan Lyon, and Cameron Green chipped in with one each. The only negative is that Lyon will play no further part due to injury and their batters will now look to set a huge target for England so that it does not affect them that much. Join us in a bit for the second innings of Australia.

England started off really well with Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett setting the platform with a 91-run opening partnership which was followed by another good stand between Duckett and Ollie Pope. However, the former missed out on his hundred by just two runs and Joe Root also could not make much impact. They were no able to weather the storm of the Aussie attack in the last session of Day 2 and lost crucial wickets. However, the start of Day 3 turned out to be a nightmare for them as they lost their skipper, Ben Stokes on the second delivery which started a collapse. Only Harry Brook registered a fifty but they were bundled out for 325 runs in the end.

A fantastic display of bowling from the Aussies! They were brilliant right from the start and picked up the last six wickets of the hosts for 47 runs. Australia are way ahead in the game as they will now come out to bat again with a 91-run lead.

76.2WPat Cummins to Josh Tongue
OUT! CAUGHT! There it is, England have been bowled out for 325! Pat Cummins bends his back and bangs it in short, from over the wicket, directs it well at the batter. Tongue gets on his toes to get on top of the bounce but fails to do so. Fends it off the upper part of the bat and balloons an easy catch to the substitute fielder Matt Renshaw at short leg. A great bowling display by Australia and they have taken a lead of 91 runs.

He fails to connect and gets trapped right in front of the stumps. Australia go up in unison and the umpire has no hesitation in raising his finger. Stuart Broad still goes for the review. The UltraEdge shows no bat and it is three reds on Ball Tracking. The on-field decision will stand and Stuart Broad has to make his way back.

OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! The move to bring on Travis Head has paid off eventually! Bowls from 'round the wicket and floats it across, on off, Ollie Robinson shimmies down the track and frees his arms. He looks to go down the ground but gets a faint outside edge. Alex Carey pouches it safely and looks to take the bails off. However, he realises that Robison has edged it and the umpire raises his finger. Travis Head has his first wicket of the game and England are now 8 wickets down.

Halt! Stuart Broad has been hit on the helmet! This might have crept under the grill as well and there is some concern as Ollie Robinson calls the physio immediately. He is checking on Broad now. We are ready to continue...
