Virat Kohli was Suresh Raina's deputy when India came to Zimbabwe in 2010. He is the skipper now and a much more assured, competent batsman. His first full campaign as skipper will be a test but the dashing Delhi youngster will look to pass it with flying colours.

Suresh Raina has not been in high-scoring form off late and has missed out on quite a few opportunities despite good starts. In his last eight ODI innings, highest score has been 44. Although the opposition is not the best yet he would like to do his job. He was not overly impressive on the last tour to Zimbabwe in 2010 too.

Dinesh Karthik is another one who has come leaps and bounds to earn regular ODI caps for India. Since coming back into the fray though, his scores have read - 14, 51*, 11*, 6, 23, 22, 6, 12, 23. This tour might not help his cause in terms of the quality of opposition but to remain in the side he will have to perform.

Shikhar Dhawan has been the model of consistency since his renaissance. He would just love to carry that on and give India good starts that they missed in 2010 when Karthik and Murali Vijay/Naman Ojha opened the innings.

Ravindra Jadeja has been the revelation for the Men in Blue in the past 12 months or so. Once criticised for almost everything he did, he is now the cynosure of all eyes. Jadeja got a couple of fifties when India played horribly in the 2010 triangular series. He also took 5 wickets then. India will be hoping that he repeats his performances and more.
