Ireland came to bat with their backs to the wall and their innings considered no more than a formality. Captain William Porterfield departed of the first ball and defeat seemed certain for the Irish once again.

Ireland however, were not over-awed by the stage or the target and continued to maintain a run rate in the range of 5-6 runs an over as England continued to display a poor show in the field. (Getty Images)
