Serena Williams won her fifth Ladies' Singles title after she defeated Agnieszka Radwanska in the Wimbledon final.

Serena Williams took control of the game right from the start as she took the first set conceding just one game to Agnieszka Radwanska.

Radwanska was battling ill health and a tough opponent but she showed severe determination to come back in the second set to level.

But the American was focussed on winning her fifth Ladies' Singles title as she did not give Radwanska any breathing space in the third set to win the match 6-1, 5-7, 6-2.

This was Serena's fourteenth title in her career as she could not hold back her emotions after winning the match.

It was a brave effort by Radwanska, but in the end Serena proved too much for the Pole. The prize money awarded to Serena for this win was $1.78 million. However it was entertaining tennis and the crowd had a lot ot cheer about.
