Virender Sehwag posted the highest individual innings in ODIs - 219 off 149 balls, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's unbeaten 200 off 147 balls against South Africa at Gwalior on February 24, 2010.

Sehwag scored the highest individual score in ODIs on 8th December 2011. Chaminda Vaas also took the best figures (8/19) in ODIs on 8th December 2001, exactly 10 years ago.

Sehwag became the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar to post a double hundred in ODIs. Both the double hundreds have been registered in the state of Madhya Pradesh - Sehwag's at Indore and Sachin's at Gwalior.

Powered by Sehwag's 219 India registered a 153-run win Over the West Indies. Co-incidentally India had defeated South Africa by the same margin when Sachin had smashed his double ton.
