Justice Mukul Mudgal, who headed the inquiry panel that investigated allegations of corruption in Indian Premier League, welcomed the Justice RM Lodha panel's decision to suspend Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals for two years. It was Mudgal's committee that indicted Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra of betting and sharing team information. Mudgal was appointed by the Supreme Court and it was on the basis of his findings that the top court appointed the Lodha commission to deliver its final verdict.
