The final whistle sounds and Spanish players run inside the field to celebrate. A huge day for the young Spanish side as they have reached the Euro 2024 final and now, they wait to see who will their opponents will be - England or Netherlands.

5 minutes added in the match and Spain are almost there. However, France continue to look for that elusive goal!

Kylian Mbappe has made a complete mess of the chance and is that the game? France broke fast and Mbappe looked to run with the ball. However, his shot at the end of the move will not be something that the star footballer will be proud of. Spain still lead 2-1.

France have gone to their highest goal-scorer to find a solution. Olivier Giroud is their latest substitution as he replaces Ousmanne Dembele. Last throw of the dice and France are just 10 minutes away from exit.

Theo Hernandez! What have you done! Horrible defending by France and the ball fell to Hernandez as a position where the fans were hopping that he will score. However, the shot was way off target and it sailed over the goal! This is a massive letdown!

France are attacking well but it looks like almost all of their attacks are coming through Kylian Mbappe. That has become a problem for them as Spain are crowding Mbappe and not allowing him to play freely.

France have slowed down the game and are playing more passes among themselves. While the slow build up has resulted in a lot of possession for France, Spain will not be unhappy as it gives them more time to maintain their shape. 

Another corner and another miss for France. It was Upamecano who received the corner kick perfectly but the header was just disappointing. Way off target and the hunt for the equaliser continues.

France had a huge chance as the ball fell perfectly to Tchouameni but his header went directly to Unai Simon. Big chance missed. Spain keep fighting and Nico Williams is once again at the center of it all as he is being trusted to outrun the French defenders.

Nico Williams was through on goal but a brilliant sliding tackle by the goalkeeper Maignan keeps the score 2-1. Brilliant work from the French goalkeeper as even an inch here and there would have resulted in a free-kick and possibly a card.

The second half begins and the onus is completely on France to find that equaliser. Spain came up with a brilliant period of play that handed them the lead. However, one goal and France can be back in this amazing encounter.

Yamal had already set the record as the youngest player to feature in the tournament when he was selected to start Spain's opening group game against Croatia. He beat Polish international Kacper Kozlowski, who played at Euro 2020 at 17 years and 246 days old. Norway's Isabell Herlovsen holds the record for the youngest women's goalscorer. She was 16 years and 351 days old when she struck at Euro 2005.

It is half-time and Spain lead 2-1 against France. What an amazing 45 minutes of play. Kolo Muani handed France the lead but a stunner from Yamal and a deft touch from Olmo brought Spain right back into this game. 

Great news for Dani Olmo! The Jules Kounde own goal has now been credited to him and he has three goals for Spain in Euro 2024!

France are not going to take this result lightly as they launch attack after attack with Kylian Mbappe leading the line. However, no luck till now as none of the attacks had the venom that they needed. Spain, on the other hand, had another chance but Fabian Ruiz could not finish the move.

Spain's Lamine Yamal became the youngest goalscorer in European Championship history at the age of 16 years and 362 days in Tuesday's semi-final against France in Munich. The Barcelona winger curled in a sensational shot from 25 metres to break the previous record for youngest scorer set by Switzerland's Johan Vonlanthen, who was 18 years and 141 days old when he scored at Euro 2004.

A perfect move from Spain ended with Dani Olmo pulling off an absolutely brilliant skill to unleash a low shot that beat the goalkeeper and took a contact from Kounde to crash into the net. The game has turned on its head and Spain are in control. Olmo claimed the goal but it is given as an own goal.

Lamine Yamal, remember the name! The 16-year-old has scored an absolute screamer and he becomes the youngest scorer in Euro history. He went for a long-ranger from outside the box and it curved perfectly to crash into the top corner. What a strike and it is history!

First yellow card of the game and it goes to Spain's Jesus Navas. A rash tackle on Rabiot and the defender will now have to be careful. A lot of time to go and he has already been cautioned.

Randal Kolo Muani scores and France have taken the lead! What a start for the team who have struggled to score from open play in this tournament. A brilliant cross from Mbappe and Kolo Muani had all the time in the world to calmly head it into the goal.

Spain had the first chance of the match and it was so close! Yamal once again with the perfect cross and Fabian Ruiz did jump the highest. However, his contact was just not that great and the ball sailed over the goal. 

Lamine Yamal became the youngest footballer to play in the semi-final of a major tournament since Pele's appearance for Brazil in the 1958 FIFA World Cup.

The match starts and we are off! Spain start with a cautious passing game within themselves but France showed quickness in launching a small counter press. Exciting start to this game.

The teams are out in the middle and it is time for the national anthems. We are just minutes away from the start of this spectacular encounter between two footballing giants.

Injuries and suspension have forced Spain coach Luis de la Fuente to make three changes to his starting XI, including starting Dani Olmo for the injured Pedri. Pedri injured his knee early in Spain's 2-1 quarter-final win over Germany and was replaced by Olmo, who was named man of the match after scoring a goal and laying on an assist.

Suspensions for defenders Dani Carvajal and Robin Le Normand mean Jesus Navas, 38, and the 34-year-old Nacho will be tasked with keeping tabs on Mbappe.

France's three strikes have come from two own goals and a penalty converted by captain Kylian Mbappe. Les Bleus are also yet to concede from open play in the tournament. Their one goal conceded came from a penalty scored by Poland striker Robert Lewandowski.

France coach Didier Deschamps dropped misfiring forward Antoine Griezmann for Ousmane Dembele in Tuesday's Euro 2024 semi-final clash with France in Munich. Griezmann has started all but one of five matches so far at the tournament but has failed to spark in a France attack which is yet to score from open play.

Spain have scored 11 goals through eight different goalscorers, posing threats across the park. The Spain coach echoed his counterpart's statements, even if he admitted "at this stage, it's about winning. "France have a fantastic team. I enjoy watching football. I have fun watching football and it's fun to watch the French." But with Pedri out of the tournament with injury and Spain missing defenders Dani Carvajal and Robin le Normand due to yellow card suspensions, France may sense an opportunity.

Since a quarter-final defeat by eventual champions Germany at the 2014 World Cup, France have made the final at every major tournament other than Euro 2020. That run includes a World Cup triumph in 2018 and a loss on penalties to Argentina in Qatar four years later, along with an extra-time defeat by Portugal at Euro 2016 on home soil.

France have only scored three goals at Euro 2024, none of which have come from general play. Misfiring captain Kylian Mbappe, playing in a specialised mask due to a broken nose sustained in the opening fixture against Austria, has scored from the spot once, while the French have benefited from two own goals.

Spain have lit up Euro 2024, winning all five games while scoring 11 goals and are just one win away from the final. To get there however, Spain will need to go through a France side who while not impressing in Germany have shown their expertise and experience at major tournaments to navigate their way to the final four.
