Parveen Kumar started with 40.21m throw before getting a distance of 41.91m in his second attempt. He follows it up with a 41.23m throw. More three throws left for the Indian star.

India's Sarita has defeated Italy's Sarti Eleonora 141-135 to make her way into the quarter-finals of women's individual compound open archery.

Rubina Francis has won a bronze medal in the women's 10m air pistol (SH1) final. She bags the honour with a total of 211.1 points after 22 shots. Rubina even took the second spot at one stage but she slipped later to settle with bronze medal. Iran's Sareh Javanmardi clinches the gold medal while Aysel Ozgan of Turkey bags silver.

Jyoti Gaderiya comes last in the Women's 500m Time Trial C1-C3 event, and will therefore, not qualify further.

Women's para cycling track is up next, with the Women's 500m Time Trial C1-C3 qualification round. Jyoti Gaderiya will be India's representative in the event.

The event is expected to get underway at 1:30 PM.

After Manasi Joshi's elimination in the group stages, Mandeep Kaur continues to carry the baton for India in the women's singles SL3 category in para badminton. She enters the quarter-finals.

Mandeep wins the third and deciding game 21-17. Despite losing the first game, she roars back to defeat Australia's Celine Vinot 21-23, 21-10, 21-17.

With that, Mandeep reaches the quarters of the women's singles SL3 category.
