"Behind Every Sportsperson, There Are Prayers": Olympians

The Indian Olympic Association felicitated the Tokyo Olympics medal winners in the national capital on Sunday with silver medal winner wrestler Ravi Dahiya awarded a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and bronze medal winner wrestler Bajrang Punia was awarded a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh. Speaking to NDTV on their journey so far, shedding light on their struggles, Ravi and Bajrang said behind every sportsperson there are prayers and a full team of supporters from family, friends, coaches, federations and well-wishers. When asked how they will describe themselves in one word or mention one asset of theirs that describes them, Ravi said, "endurance is my asset" and Bajrang joked "my name is Bajrang and that is enough".
