Ravichandran Ashwin broke South Africa's backbone: Farokh Engineer

Following India's six-wicket win over South Africa in the semi-final of the World Twenty20, former India wicketkeeper batsman praised off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for bowling a phenomenal spell that broke South Africa's backbone. Ashwin finished with figures of 3/22, picking up crucial wickets of Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis and AB de Villiers. South Africa posted 172 which India chased down with five balls to spare, courtesy an unbeaten knock of 72 off 44 balls from Virat Kohli.
