About Greenwich Park on the southern banks of Thames, London
Located on the south bank of the River Thames, Greenwich Park is London's oldest Royal Park, dating to 1433, and will be the site of the equestrian competitions and the combined running and shooting event of the pentathlon.
A temporary cross country course will be in the park, while a temporary main arena will be on the grounds of the National Maritime Museum.
The park itself is one of the largest single green spaces in the area and is a favourite with walkers and joggers. Its history dates back to the 15th century and it continues to offer spectacular views of the city of London and Thames.
