Is all well in the Mumbai Indians camp? Ever since Hardik Pandya took over the franchise's captaincy from Rohit Sharma, a lot has been speculated about a said 'divide' in the squad. As Hardik's debut as MI's full-time captain concluded with a 6-run defeat against his former franchise Gujarat Titans, his leadership skills and rapport with other players in the team are back in the spotlight. A video featuring Jasprit Bumrah and former captain Rohit indulging in an intense chat after the conclusion of the game has added fuel to the fire of rumours.
Rohit could be seen sitting with senior pacer Hardik, middle-order batter Tilak Varma and veteran spinner Piyush Chawla after the match. In the video, Bumrah looked upset about something and he pointed out the same to Rohit.
Hardik, all this while, was meeting his former GT teammate Shubman Gill, who was given the franchise's captaincy after the all-rounder decided to return to MI. Ishan Kishan was also spotted with Hardik at this moment.
Seeing the videos surfaced on social media, fans started to wonder if all is well in the MI camp. Though the videos don't suggest much, it was earlier said that there could be a sense of disappointment among players after the franchise's bosses decided to replace Rohit with Hardik as skipper.
Hardik Pandya faced severe criticism over a few of his decisions on the field. His decision to not hand Jasprit the new ball, as well as the call to send himself out to bat at No. 7 position were questioned by many.
Though there's no denying that Hardik led MI to two successive IPL final as the captain of the Gujarat Titans, he is yet to win the hearts of Mumbai Indians fans. The all-rounder also had to face boos and jeers from the Ahmedabad crowd as the two sides squared-off at the Narendra Modi stadium.
