IPL 2016: Gautam Gambhir Special Helps KKR to Big Win Over SRH

Gautam Gambhir smashed an unbeaten 90 to help Kolkata Knight Riders defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets.

However, the partnership ended in spectacular fashion when Ojha was caught at long on. Andre Russell, running in from long on, caught the ball near the boundary but just before he went over the ropes, he tossed the ball to Piyush Chawla.

Morgan notched up his third fifty for Sunrisers Hyderabad as they targeted a score near 150.

However, some good death bowling from the KKR bowlers restricted SRH to 142/7.

Chasing 143, Robin Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir gave KKR a steady start.

There were some anxious moments in the partnership. Gambhir nearly survived a run-out as Mustafizur Rahman missed a run-out at the striker's end.

The partnership yielded 92 runs but Ashish Reddy trapped Uthappa lbw for 38.

SRH had a slight opening as Russell, promoted to number three, was cleaned up by a magnificent yorker by Mustafizur.

However, Gambhir carried on his merry ways as he notched up his second highest individual score to help KKR to a magnificent eight-wicket win.

This was Kolkata Knight Riders' second win in three games while for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, it was their second consecutive loss.
