IND vs SL 1st Test Day 1 Highlights: Rishabh Pant was in fantastic form as India posted 357 for six in 85 overs at Stumps against Sri Lanka on Day 1 of the ongoing first Test match at Mohali, on Friday. The wicketkeeper-batter smashed 96 runs off 97 balls and narrowly missed out on a century. His knock which consisted of nine fours and four sixes put India in a strong position, after losing its top-order batters. Initially, Mayank Agarwal and Rohit Sharma put in a good start but lost their wickets after registering 33 and 29 runs respectively. Meanwhile, Hanuma Vihari was dismissed after a half-century and Virat Kohli narrowly missed out on a fifty after crossing 8000 Test runs in his 100th Test match. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin will resume batting for India on Day 2 and have already registered 45* and 10* runs respectively. Although he was hit for multiple boundaries by Pant, Lasith Embuldeniya bagged two wickets for the visitors.
