Both the teams had their scores tied at 212 after which the contest went into a Super Over. The thriller never faded as the Super Over too ended in a tie, taking the game to yet another Super Over where the Rohit Sharma-led side edge past its opponent. Earlier, Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh had stitched a breathtaking 190-run stand to help India post a mammoth total 212 for 4 on the bouncy track of Bengaluru. Rohit scored 121 not out off 69 while Rinku contributed with 69 not out off 39 after the India skipper won the toss and opted to bat. Afghanistan came out with a superb reply and managed to level the scores by the end, thanks to Gulbadin Naib's fighting 55 off 23.

This was an unbelievable effort from both the teams. First, India scored a mammoth total of 212/4 despite getting reduced to 22/4. Then, Afghanistan showed great fight to level the scores. The match went into Super Over and that too ended in a tie. Came another Super Over and this time, India edged past their opponent.
India have won the game!!! Bishnoi strikes again and that is the end of the game as second one goes down for Afghanistan in the Super Over. Gurbaz hit it right into the hands of Rinku Singh at long-off.
Ravi Bishnoi strikes! He has got the dangerous Mohammad Nabi on the first ball of the over. It was a good length delivery and Nabi hit it into the hands of Rinku Singh at long-off. Afghanistan need 12 off 5.
Rohit Sharma is runout and that is the end of the Indian innings. India have set a 12-run target for Afghanistan in the Super Over. Fareed Ahmad bowled a dot ball to Sanju Samson near the tramline and Rohit wanted to take a bye. However, an alert Gurbaz hit the stumps and ended India's innings.
Rinku Singh is OUT! Gurbaz appealed for a caught behind dismissal but umpire was unconvinced. However, Afghanistan decided to go upstairs and the reviews revealed that Rinku had edged the ball. India are 11/0 after 4 balls.
Three runs came off the final ball and India have to chase 17-run target. There was some furious reaction from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as Afghanistan ran two extra runs off leg bye after a throw from wicketkeeper Sanju Samson hit Mohammad Nabi's leg and ricocheted towards long-on.
That is poor luck for Mukesh! He bowled a length ball and Gurbaz swung hard on it and got an outside edge. The ball went past the short third for a four.
Avesh Khan got the wicket of Najibullah Zadran but conceded 17 runs in the over. Afghanistan need 19 runs in 6 balls. Mukesh Kumar will bowl the final over the game. It a tough chance for Afghanistan but with Gulbadin Naib (39 off 17) at crease, they will keep their hopes positive.
Afghanistan are losing the plot after giving a terrific fight to India. Karim Janat is run-out and now they need 46 runs in 17 balls. There was never a single but Janat's eagerness to go at the other end saw him losing his wicket through a run-out.
Washington Sundar has got the wicket of Nabi! Sundar smartly kept the ball away Nabi and managed to trap the batter. The slow pace of the ball also helped the cause. Avesh Khan took the catch at deep point. Nabi departs for 34 off 16.
Mohammad Nabi clobbered Ravi Bishnoi for a six and two fours in the over. A total of 17 runs came off it. This is an amazing turnaround from Afghanistan. They were lagging behind in the chase at one point but now they need 51 runs in 24 balls.

Kuldeep Yadav produced a thick edge off the bowling of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and the ball ran past a diving Rohit Sharma at first slip for a four. A boundary comes after a long time for Afghanistan.
This is smart batting from Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. Seven runs came off the last over that was bowled by Shivam Dube. Both the batters could not hit any boundary in it but made sure they kept rotating the strike well. Afghanistan need 152 runs in 72 balls.
