New Zealand made the correct decision to field first at the toss. Corey Anderson was responsible for hurting England and he claimed two for 32.

Michael Lumb is seen in action here. The opener scored 33 off 24 at the top to add some respectability to England's rate of scoring.

Moeen Ali also played a crucial role. He hit the highest individual score of the innings - 36 off 23 - to quicken the pace.

Jos Buttler came in the middle-order and helped himself to a 23-ball 32.

Buttler was removed eventually by Anderson but England eventually posted a challenging total of 172.

In reply, New Zealand replied in a rush. Boundaries came thick and fast.

It was this rush that helped the Kiwis as persistent rain halted the match after just 5.2 overs in the 2nd innings. D/L method was used, gifting the match to the Black Caps.
