India vs New Zealand 1st Innings Highlights, ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel played crucial knocks as India posted 249 for 9 against New Zealand in their Group A match of Champions Trophy 2025 on Sunday. India got off to a terrible start as they were reduced to 30 for 3 in 6.4 overs. This is when Iyer (79) and Axar Patel (42) stitched a crucial 98-run stand between them to help India make a remarkable comeback. However, the Blackcaps regained control with the wicket of Axar and never looked back after that. Hardik Pandya scored a fighting 45 towards the end but even that could not take India to 250.
