Sukhjeet Singh scored the opening goal of the match for India despite Spain playing better game on the field. The visitors, however, scored a goal each in the following quarters to seal a comfortable win. Lacalle Borja levelled the scores for Spain while Ignacio Cobos put them in the lead. Bruno Avila scored the third goal to seal Spain's victory in the fourth quarter.

India lose their opening match of FIH Men's Pro League against Spain. They have suffered a 1-3 defeat in their campaign opener.
Spain are in the lead. Ignacio Cobos scored the goal for Spain here. The PC didn't go as per the plan as Cunill failed to take his shot propely, but Spain bounced back in great fashion to take the lead.
Spain nearly got a lead there, but the goal has been disallowed as the shot touched the foot of their attacker before going into the back of the net. A relief for India!
