West Indies vs Pakistan 2nd ODI Highlights: Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan failed to lift the spirits of their team as West Indies secured a 5-wicket victory in the rain-hit second ODI of the series on Sunday. The hosts were chasing a revised target of 181 runs in 35 overs under the DLS method after multiple rain interruptions saw Pakistan's innings end at 171-7 in 37 overs. Pakistan had to be extra tough on the field as they failed with the bat in the first innings. Their start was superb and the spinners controlled the middle phase brilliantly as well but the part-timers, Saim Ayub and Salman Agha, leaked runs, allowing West Indies to ease off a bit and take control of the proceedings. Pakistan would have hoped for more runs, though. However, with rain interupting regularly in the first innings, Pakistan found it difficult to build stand under difficult circumstances as West Indies were right on the money, their pacers actually throughout the innings and they deserve a lot of credit for this win.

Chasing such a score was always going to be difficult for West Indies and their process wasn't helped by the loss of both openers in the first four wickets. West Indies went into a shell after that, looking to build a stand. Keacy Carty tried but failed. Hope hung in there, along with Sherfane Rutherford, who played a momentum-changing innings in the middle to get West Indies back on track. Both of them fell in a crucial stage and West Indies again had to do it all over again but Roston Chase, with all his experience, made sure that his team crossed the line.

Roston Chase has helped West Indies chase down a competitive score on a tricky pitch. West Indies keep the series alive with that. West Indies had to fight not just Pakistan but the rain gods as well. After bowling so well, they needed the rain gods to stay away and give themselves a chance, eventually grabbing it with both hands and crossing the line.
