Virat Kohli spoke out against animal cruelty after a pregnant elephant died in Kerala after eating a pineapple stuffed with explosives.

His wife and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma had also expressed her anger at the incident.
"We all would urge @cmokerala to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice for this heinous crime," she had written on Instagram, sharing yet another heart-breaking sketch.
Other cricketers like Suresh Raina and Rishabh Pant also took to social media to protest the killing of the pregnant elephant.
India's football team captain Sunil Chhetri also tweeted a strong message on the matter.
"She was a harmless, pregnant Elephant. That makes the people who did what they did, monsters and I hope so hard that they pay a price. We keep failing nature over and over again. Remind me how we're the more evolved species?" he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Former India captain MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni also shared a message on Instagram.
The wild elephant had left the forests of Silent Valley in Palakkad district, wandering into a nearby village in search of food where she ate the pineapple. The fruit exploded in her mouth and left her in searing pain as she walked around the village for days, unable to eat anything because of her injuries. She eventually died standing in a river.
