...THE CHASE...
-
!
Ireland were sloppy in the field. Too many extras, drop catches and lot of few deliveries from them. Ireland could have used the swing more at the start but allowed Sri Lanka to lay a good foundation. Barry McCarthy and Mark Adair were the best of the lot. Joshua Little was on the expensive side though. Ireland need something special against this Sri Lanka side who have been all class with the ball. They might be 20 runs short but have more than enough to defend it out. Stay tuned for chase.

Sri Lanka will be very happy with this score. They have yet again showcased their power with the bat. The Lankans started well with Dimuth Karunaratne the aggressor. They lost a couple of wickets but never lost the momentum as Sadeera Samarawickrama created a brilliant partnership with the opener to set the stage for a big finish. Sadeera Samarawickrama missed out on his ton but Dimuth Karunaratne got to his maiden century. Sri Lanka did stumble in the back but Dhananjaya de Silva tried to finish it on a higher note.
