Until next time, it is bye bye from us!
Saeed Ajmal is awarded a special prize from the sponsors for his 11 wickets. However, he is not the Man of the Match. That honor goes to Younus Khan for his wonderful double hundred. Younus Khan says that whenever he plays for his team, it is always a great honor and a matter of great pride. He says that he always looks to give his best for the team and is extremely happy that his efforts bore fruit as Pakistan won. Also praises Zimbabwe for being outstanding in this Test match and really testing the depths of Pakistan themselves. Says he's looking forward for the next match in two days' time.
Set an unlikely 342 runs to get, Zimbabwe fell apart in the second innings thanks to a combined effort from the spinners Ajmal and Rehman. Saeed Ajmal finished with a 11-wicket haul for the match as Pakistan ran through the side without any resistance.
Zimbabwe were excellent with the ball in the first innings bowling out Pakistan under 250. They batted brilliantly too, taking a lead of 78 runs in the first innings and an upset looked very much on the cards. But to win a Test, you need to outplay your opponent in the second innings as well and this is where Pakistan turned the tables. Younus Khan made a sensational comeback in the side scoring an unbeaten double ton and in the process, wearing the Zimbabwe team physically as well as mentally.
Well, we have finally managed to come to an end of this game. Surprising to see Zimbabwe surrender so meekly after putting up a great show for 3 days of the Test. They lost their remaining 9 wickets in the first session itself and that means Pakistan go 1-0 up in this two-match series.
