MARLON SAMUELS HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH for his all-round show. That is all we have for you from here. The second T20I would be played at this same venue on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 1800 GMT (2330 IST). Until then, on behalf of the commentators and scorers, ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
England really need to dig deep for answers before they return to play the second T20I here on Tuesday. Their batting and bowling lacks the spark and it is needed for a victory at this level.
Not a day for the faster bowlers, even the Windies seamers went for aplenty while the spinners made merry. Badree was outstanding, with 3/17 in his 4 overs while Samuels was impressive. Narine was injured and did not return.
Comprehensive win for the Windies. The slow pitch did them in while batting, restricting them to 170 but their bowlers came into their won, especially the spinners and completely outplayed the Brits. The top order was blown apart while Bopara gave a fight and Bresnan avoided the shame of England getting bowled out inside 20 overs.
Dwayne Bravo to Tim Bresnan
FOUR! A boundary to end the match. A length ball outside off, Bresnan swing hard and gets a top edge over short third man for a boundary. WEST INDIES WIN BY 27 RUNS!

FOUR! A full ball on middle, Bresnan clobbers it straight back over the bowler's head for a boundary.
JADE DERNBACH is the last man in.
Andre Russell to Tim Bresnan
OUT! Tredwell has been run out! Full outside off, Bresnan gets across to whip the ball but only manages a thick inside edge onto his pads. The ball rolls along side on the off, Bresnan just looks at his partner and gets an affirmative. However, Russell beats Tredwell to the crease and scores a direct hit at the striker's end. Tredwell is a yard short. 38 needed off the last over now.
Andre Russell to James Tredwell
Dabs it late to third man for one.
Driven through the covers by the batsman. One run added to the total.
Drives this through the covers for a couple.
SIX! Humongous! Bresnan is still fighting. Full on middle and off, Bresnan gets down and swings it cleanly over mid-wicket!
The batsman has attempted to put bat on ball - but fails.
JAMES TREDWELL walks out at number 10, replacing Broad.
Dwayne Bravo to Stuart Broad
OUT! Run out! Sums up England's day. Full outside off, Broad looks to squeeze it through the off side but misses. He then wanders outside his crease for the bye but is sent back. Just hobbles around and meanwhile, Ramdin has all the attention focused on hitting the stumps at the striker's end and he gets bulls' eye. Broad is well short. England need 48 from 12 balls.
The batsman was beaten and missed the line of the delivery.
