AB de Villiers(winning captain) - He's happy with the efforts. It was tough to come out there to bat against a world class bowling attack. It was tough, it didn't do too much this morning and it wasn't good to bat, was tough to score and it made the run chase pretty interesting. He wants to improve the batting and build partnerships. Adds that another big series is coming up against India and it will be exciting to play against the world champs. Says it won't be easy but hopes his team will win.
It will be Pakistan who'll go back with more positives from this ODI series as they became the first Asian team to beat South Africa in a bilateral ODI series. Pakistan's bowlers almost brought this game back in their favor but their batting let them down in this game. This also ends the Pakistan-South Africa affair with 25 international matches between them this year. South Africa looked more dominant throughout and showed good all-round performance where they won all the previous matches this year.
South Africa avoid the whitewash but Pakistan take the ODI series 2-1! South Africa win chasing after seven games although they almost got into a losing position today as well but did well to chase down a low total. The Protea bowlers first did the job with the ball where they restricted Pakistan to 179 and then skipper de Villiers and Amla at the top helped South Africa win this final ODI!
