Ahmed Shehzad is named the MAN OF THE MATCH for his fantastic hundred at the top of the batting order. The final match, which is now a dead rubber, will be played on 30 November. Do join us for that, till then, farewell!
The match seemed to be in South Africa's grip courtesy AB de Villiers' fantastic knock. He's a man of few words, more talent with an outrageous artillery of shot selection. At a time when the required rate was over 9, AB de Villiers brought out his destructive side and spanked everyone to all parts of the ground. But after he and Amla departed, the match started sliding down and credit does go to Pakistan's death bowling.
What a magnificent match and eventually, South Africa ensured that the notion of the C word comes back to haunt them. It all came down to the 12 last deliveries from Saeed Ajmal and Junaid Khan, with the latter bowling an exceptional last over.
Junaid Khan to David Miller
Four leg byes! PAKISTAN WIN BY 1 RUN! What a remarkable comeback and the expression on the Pakistani players says everything. A full ball down the leg side, sneaks through Miller's attempted heave and finds the fence but that does not matter. Misbah falls to the ground in relief, joy and what not.
Now then. Miller's reputed for being a finisher of some sorts. South Africa need a six here off the last ball.
Junaid Khan to Ryan McLaren
Excellent from Junaid. Follows the batsman and hurls down a leg-sided yorker, McLaren is smacked on the pads and they cross over.
Full ball, hit away through mid off for one.
Full length and quick on the pads, Miller goes to flick but misses. It lobs up back to the bowler who appeals big time but nothing from the umpire.
Ryan McLaren in next. South Africa need a calm head...
Junaid Khan to JP Duminy
OUT! Magnificent catch! Short and quick on middle, Duminy flattens the ball with a pull over mid-wicket. It's fast, quick, flat and Anwar Ali at the fence, does really well to get low and catch it well.
Good length outside off, flattened away past point for one.
David Miller walks in next.
Saeed Ajmal to Hashim Amla
OUT! Amla falls two short of a deserving century! He goes to finish off things by taking the spinner off, goes for the slog sweep and sends it high up. Jamshed and Hafeez avoid a collision by charging in from fine leg and deep square leg and the latter just about manages to grab it.
Goes to push it away but gets a bottom edge.
A short ball, Amla rocks back to try and force it through the off side but finds a bottom edge.
Saeed Ajmal to JP Duminy
Duminy gets to the pitch of the ball and connects. They pick up a single.
A flat, full ball, turning away, Duminy goes to sweep but is beaten by it.
A flat, short ball, whipped away through mid-wicket for a single.
A flat and full ball outside off, slapped away past point for a couple.
FOUR! That's cheeky! Full length ball on middle, Duminy gets across and paddles it extremely fine past the keeper.
