The Best Bowler award for today goes to Vernon Philander. The Best Performer of the Series Award goes to Dale Steyn for his five-fer in the fourth game. The Circle Player(best fielder) in the tournament goes to Faf du Plessis.
Pakistan who are known to fight hard in the conditions in UAE which offers slow pitches that assist their bowlers more than other sides. South Africa adapted well after the second game and ensured that their batting did not collapse. Pakistan failed to do the same and that is where they lost the series to Pakistan. South Africa had not had a great year in ODIs, but this performance will get that record trapped way back in memories.
South Africa have played brilliantly today, with bat and ball both. They blistered away to a stiff score of 268/7 in the first innings and bowled with the usual heart, forcing Pakistan to submit for just 151. Pakistan have exhibited yet another shabby performance with the bat. As usual, some of the batsmen showed glimpses of performances but failed to build on from there on.
Ryan McLaren to Sohail Tanvir
OUT! That's it, South Africa have won the series 4-1 by winning this game BY 117 RUNS! A slower length delivery across the off stump, Tanvir feels for the ball and edges it through to de Kock who takes the catch and throws the ball in the air to celebrate. South Africa are very happy!
FOUR! Hammered but fantastic effort by Miller! Short at Tanvir's body and he nails the pull shot just wide of Miller at deep mid-wicket. He dives full-stretch but can't get hold of the ball.
Fullish and outside off, Tanvir tries to go over mid off but miscues the ball just wide of Duminy at extra cover where he dives and the ball just about evades him.
WIDE! Short delivery angled across the off stump, left alone by Tanvir. it's a wide.
McLaren brought back into the attack.
Robin Peterson to Junaid Khan
Arm ball fired in towards middle and leg, takes Khan's pads and goes away to the on side.
Full on off, Khan comes forward even before the ball is bowled and then blocks.
Flighted up on middle, defended back on to the pitch.
Robin Peterson to Sohail Tanvir
Just short of long on there! Flighted delivery on off, Tanvir charges down the pitch and lifts the ball towards long on, wide of the fielder, Philander there. The batsmen have a lot of miscommunication as they decide against the second run in the end.
FOUR! Smartly lofted! Flighted up on off, Tanvir gets down and across on his back knee and plays a slog sweep to the deep square leg boundary.
Flat on off, keeps low and Khan pushes the ball to long on for a run.
Peterson back on.
Batting Powerplay taken an over early, must have just struck the batsmen it seems.
