DARREN SAMMY has been named the Man Of The Match. That is all we have for you from here. The second ODI will be played on Sunday, 29th December, 2013 at 0100 GMT (0630 IST). Do join us for that game. Until then, on behalf of the commentators and scorers, ADIOS! TAKE CARE!
What a game. Thrilling to no end. West Indies bundled out New Zealand for a paltry 156, but then stutter in the run chase. In both the innings, the bowlers were brilliant. The lower order did well for each side too, Nathan McCullum for the hosts, Sammy for the Windies. This win should bring a lot of smiles on the Caribbean faces. But they have a lot to address in terms of their batting. So do the Kiwis.

A full toss outside off, 128 kph, Sammy gets a bottom edge back to the bowler.
SIX! Boom! A short ball on middle and off, Sammy pulls it miles over mid-wicket! That should surely be the game for the West Indies, right?
SUNIL NARINE walks in.
Jimmy Neesham to Jason Holder
OUT! New Zealand still fighting. A short ball, down the leg side, 132 kph, Holder gets across and looks to tickle it fine but only succeeds in glancing it to the keeper! Is there still a twist left in this tale?

WIDE! Slips this down the leg side, a crime at this stage!
NOT OUT. Height saves him! Good length delivery on middle, 134 kph, Sammy comes forward to defend but misses and is hit on the pads. New Zealand take a review but replays show umpire's call.
