Asked to field first, Jamia bowlers got down to business from the start. Opener Jitendra Gupta was bowled by Aashish Chopra in his first over - the second of the innings.

Ajay Tiwari's innings was of some substance. The right-handed opener hit 43 runs from 40 deliveries with seven boundaries.

Jamia bowlers managed to put a lid on the rate of scoring and may have claimed just five wickets but eventually restricted the total to a mere 117 runs.
