The bowlers had runs to play with and they did well to create pressure and even the pitch was favoring them. They started well by not giving away easy runs and put pressure on them in the middle phase as well. Thisara Perera and Soumya Sarkar scalped two wickets each but overall, Mushfiqur Rahim will be very happy with his side.
Sylhet Sunrisers were off to a brisk start as both the openers were cautious and playing it safe. Anamul Haque changed gears as he went for the big shots and did well to control the innings. But once he fell, the wickets started to tumble. It was the partnership between Colin Ingram and Mosaddek Hossain that kept the hopes alive but the chase was too big for them and ultimately they lost. Alauddin Babu showed his batting skill in the death and almost gave the magical finish but it was just too big of a task for him.
6,6,6,1,0,1....Kamrul Islam nearly had his heart in his mouth. 36 were needed off the last over and Alauddin Babu almost took his team over the line. Eventually, Khulna Tigers get the two points and move third in the table. It is looking very hard for Sylhet Sunrisers from now on though to proceed in the next stage.
