Right then! That is it from this game! The action does not end here though as there is another game coming your way and it is an important one. It is a clash between Colombo Stars and Kandy Warriors, and the winner will seal a spot in the playoffs. That game begins at 1930 local (1400 GMT). See you there!
Bhanuka Rajapaksa, the skipper of Galle Gladiators is also the PLAYER OF THE MATCH! He says that it was a good toss to win as the wicket wasn't good to bat on. Credits his bowlers for the way they bowled in this game. Adds that the team has had a positive approach from the beginning and they look to take wickets always. Says that beating Jaffna Kings twice gives them a lot of confidence.
Thisara Perera, the skipper of Jaffna Kings, says that they changed many players so it may be an issue but nothing to worry about as they got a wake-up call and they had to consider other players as well. Adds that they all think the next match is a normal game.
Stay tuned for the presentations.
Coming into the second innings, the Kings would have thought 130 would be an easy target to chase. But things did not go according to their plan. After a cameo from Gurbaz at the start, The Kings lost their top order in quick succession. Veteran, Shoaib Malik, showed some grit and determination in the middle, but could not hold on till the end. Ashen Bandara gave a slight ray of hope to the Kings, but he too failed and was run out. Although they have lost this game, they finish their league stage game staying right there on top.
Gladiators' bowlers were on song, they took early wickets, kept building pressure, and did not allow the batters to score freely. Samit Patel and Noor Ahmad were the pick of the bowlers, they scalped two wickets each and were very economical. In the end, it was the quality spin attack of the Gladiators that restricted one of the most dangerous batting lineups in the league and have cemented the second position spot with this win.
An intriguing battle between the two sides, it ended up being a one-sided affair and it was Galle Gladiators who emerged victorious at the end. After a disappointing show with the bat, they have put on an exceptional performance with the ball. They have defeated the table-toppers for the second time in the tournament and grabbed two points in their last league stage game.

Pulina Tharanga To Vijayakanth Viyaskanth OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! That is so, so poor. That is not acceptable at this level. Flatter and on the pads. Vijayakanth Viyaskanth misses the flick and gets hit on the pads. He is unaware as to where the ball is and walks out of his crease. The ball has gone to the leg side and Kusal Mendis gets there. He underarms the ball at the stumps at his end. Instead of dragging the bat back in, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth tries to place it inside the crease and is caught short as confirmed by the umpire!
Who walks out? It is Vijayakanth Viyaskanth.

Pulina Tharanga To Suranga Lakmal OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! That is poor! Full and on off. This is driven to deep extra cover. Lakmal calls for the second and Bandara is halfway down the track. Lakmal then sends him back and Bandara is in big trouble! Udana throws the ball to Mendis, who whips the bails off. The TV umpire is called in but even Bandara's dive could not save him.
Another run out appeal. Kusal Mendis dives and throws it to his ends and now Ashen Bandara walks back to the pavilion. Is that the game for Galle Gladiators?

Pulina Tharanga To Ashen Bandara
SIX! Maximum! This game is alive! Tossed up, on off. Bandara comes down the track to go downtown. He doesn't middle it and the ball goes miles in the air towards long off. The fielder runs to his right and leaps up. He gets his hands to it but it pops out and goes over the fence.
Suranga Lakmal comes in.

Pulina Tharanga To Wahab Riaz OUT!
OUT! RUN OUT! Brilliant by Pulina Tharanga! Loopy ball, on off. Riaz looks to go downtown but gets the inside edge on the pads. The ball rolls away to covers and they look to sneak in a single. Pulina Tharanga collects the ball and fires a gun throw at his end. He hits and Riaz is out!
Is Wahab Riaz run out? Yes, and by a long, long way. Jaffna Kings lose their seventh wicket now.
Pulina Tharanga is back into the attack.
