That's it from our end for this series. Superb display of cricket by both the teams as we have the T20 World Cup coming up soon. No disappointments for both sides as they shared the trophy. For now, it's goodbye from us!!
MAN OF THE MATCH AND PLAYER OF THE SERIES, HAMILTON MASAKADZA - Starts with saying that he thought they could have scored a little bit more and he was a bit worried but it was a good knock for the team in the end. Adds that the Bangladeshi guys fought really hard and they tried staying in the game. Ends by saying that he hopes to keep the momentum going.
ELTON CHIGUMBURA - Starts by saying that it was good to level the series after coming down from 2-0. Adds that there was good character shown and he was happy with the top order. Especially, the way Hamilton, Sibanda and Waller played all games, and says that he was impressed to see them play very responsibly. Further adds that these are good times, specially the last two games and the guys have understood their roles. Also adds that many guys didn't get to showcase their talent but for them it was good to see the guys who performed well and the way Cremer bowled. Further adds that he hopes his team can combine everything and play well. Informs that they play the West Indies and are ready for some tough cricket. Ends with saying that they have a month to polish on what they went wrong with.
MASHRAFE MORTAZA - Starts by saying that the bowling wasn't pretty good and they lost many wickets early. Adds that they need to work out the bowling and shall come up with some good things and practice some different stuff before the Asia Cup. Says that he thinks the plan couldn't be executed. Further adds that the team had no problems physically but were brought down mentally. Finally, thanks the supporters for always coming and lifting the team's morale.
Neville Madziva was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets to his name. Chisoro picked 3 and Raza got 2 wickets. The bowlers did their job properly and thus helped their team to end up with a victory. The Zimbabweans did extremely well to come back in the series despite being 2-0 down. They came back hard and did a great job to keep the Bangladeshis at bay. We have the presentation coming up...
The pair put up a 57-run stand to keep Bangladesh in the game but Nurul departed after scoring a run a ball 15. Mahmudullah got his half-century and his captain added important runs down the order along with him. Towards the end, it looked like the Bangladeshis were coming close but the bowlers struck at regular intervals and ended up cleaning up the Bangla Tigers for 162.
The honors of the series will be shared by both teams as it ends in a draw with both teams bagging 2 victories each. The Zimbabweans had a good total to defend and their bowlers did a great job. They started off on a high by picking the first 4 wickets in three overs. Bangladesh lost half their side by the end of the 7th over but Nurul and Mahmudullah put up a good fight thereafter.
