So, that completes our coverage of Australia's brief tour of South Africa. Both sides now fly to India for the World T20 which has already begun on 8th March. The main stage begins from 15th onward. The first stage matches are on and tune in for the double header tomorrow. Until then, it's goodbye from us.
STEVEN SMITH says that coming from 1-0 down to win the series shows the great character of his team. Feels that his team was always confident of chasing down the score at the half-way stage. Expresses joy at the way Australia's batsmen executed the basics well. Credits the bowlers for pulling things back after getting stick early on. Reveals that they have a good squad throughout for the World T20 and says that they are excited about the big tournament coming up.
DAVID WARNER (MAN OF THE SERIES) says that he is enjoying his new role in the middle order. States that his experience of doing it in the IPL is helping him here. Opines that this series was a good workout for Australia heading into the World T20. Exudes confidence about the conditions in India where most Australians have decent experience. Concludes by saying that his team is confident of doing well there.
HASHIM AMLA (MAN OF THE MATCH) doesn't feel that there is any pressure on him or his other top order contenders. States that it is important to play with a free mind and says that he did precisely the same today. Feels that 180 was a good score but says that Australia were too good. Credits the opposition for a good performance. Maintains that scoring runs is a good thing for him heading into the World T20. Signs off by saying that his team is looking forward to the tournament.
FAF DU PLESSIS feels that his team had enough on the board although they could have got another 10-12 more. Says that 180 was a good score. States that he expected the track to slow down but it didn't as the ball kept coming on nicely. Credits Australia for chasing well again after the brilliant performance at the Wanderers. Adds that he isn't in a position to reveal SA's opening combination with the problem of plenty for his side. Admits that his team is disappointed at losing the series but maintains that they are upbeat about the World T20. Feels that his team's recent performances in the sub-continent gives them hope.
Both teams tried and tested various combinations in this series with an eye on the World T20 that begins next week. Australia will be happy with the form of their batsmen with the batting order reshuffle working well. Their bowling needs to improve though. South Africa continue to have a good top order but the middle order lacks solidity. Overall, both the sides will take positives heading into the World T20.
Despite the twin strikes in an over, Tahir was really expensive and so were his mates as the Proteas failed to create constant pressure. Runs came too easily for Australia as Smith's men gunned down the target comfortably. Early on, an Amla special took SA to a healthy score of 178 although the hosts would regret not getting over the 190-run mark due to some stagnancy in the middle overs.
Clinical chase by Australia as they pocket the 3-match T2OI series 2-1. Chasing a stiff target of 179, Australia got off to a solid start through some explosive batting from Watson and Khawaja. The duo were removed in the same over by Tahir as the Proteas garnered some hope. However, skipper Smith played a fine knock along with Warner to ensure that the visitors emerged victorious with ease. This is a record chase at Cape Town in T20Is.

OUT! GONE! FINE FIELDING! Full and wide outside off, Warner reaches out and slices it to third man for a single. He decides to go for the second run but Tahir's throw is accurate and flat as de Kock does the rest. Warner is out by yards and that's a timely strike for the Proteas but is it too late for the hosts? The southpaw fell over after playing the shot which probably cost him a few seconds.
