IPL 2024 Retention Day News Highlights: Amid rumours of his return to Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya was retained by Gujarat Titans ahead of next month's mini auction. Meanwhile, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant have also been retained by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC), respectively. On the other hand, Shardul Thakur was one of the 12 players released by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). As expected, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) parted ways with England batter Harry Brook, having only bought him ahead of last season for a whopping sum of 13.25 crore. Mumbai Indians released England pacer Jofra Archer, who missed last season due to injury. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made some shocking releases as the likes of Josh Hazlewood, Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel were laid off by the franchise.
