The Uday Saharan-led side lost the summit clash by 79 runs. Opener Adarsh Singh and Murugan Abhishek contributed with knocks of 47 and 42 respectively, but other Indian batters failed to replicate them in the chase of 254. The side was bowled out for 174 in 43.5 overs. Earlier, fast bowler Raj Limbani returned figures of 3 for 38 in his 10 overs but Australia still posted 253 for 7, the highest total in the history of the tournament's final.
