Afghanistan spin wizard Rashid Khan on Friday posted a heartfelt note for his late mother on social media saying that "it is my first Ramadan fast without my mum." Rashid further said that she had taught him a lot, but not how to live without her. The cricketer added that he still talks to her and his soul knows that "she is at peace." Rashid concluded his tweet by saying, "She was precious to me than all the treasure in the world. Love you and miss you, mum."
Rashid's mother died last year after prolonged illness. "You were my home, my mother I had no home but you. I can't believe you are no more with me, you will be missed forever. Rest In Peace," Rashid had tweeted then.
His mother's death came as a double jolt for Rashid as he lost his father in December 2018. "Today I lost the most important person in my life, father-the everlasting," Rashid had said then. "Now, I know why you always asked me to be strong because you knew that today I would need the strength to bear your loss. Will be always in my prayers. I miss you."
Rashid is playing for SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rashid made his IPL debut for SRH in 2017 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and took two wickets. So far, he has bagged 79 wickets in IPL from 64 games at a staggering economy rate of 6.21.
