About National Cricket Stadium, Tangier

The National Cricket Stadium at Tangier is the home ground of the Morocco cricket team. The two ends at this stadium are the Pavilion End and the Cape Spartel End. The first One Day International played on this ground was between Pakistan and South Africa in August, 2002 in the Morocco Cup which saw three participating teams, the other team being Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan won the inaugural event beating South Africa in the finals. The ground lies in Tangier which is a place that is situated on the Northern African coast at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar.
