Serena Williams looked in good touch right from the start in her semi final clash against Victoria Azarenka.

After an effortless win in the first set Serena saw herself pushed to the limit by Azarenka as the second set went into a tie-breaker with both players matching each other with magnificent rallies and strokes.

But Serena was not to be denied a place in what would be her seventh Wimbledon final and she won the tie-breaker to beat Azarenka 6-3, 7-6.

Agnieszka Radwanska knew she would have to create history to become the first Pole in a Grand Slam final in 73 years in her match against Angelique Kerber of Germany.

Radwanska showed no sign of nerves as she completely dominated the match giving Kerber no chance to stage a fightback.

The match ended without going into the third set as Radwanska wrapped up proceedings winning 6-3, 6-4 to set up a final with Serena Williams.
