India vs West Indies Live: West Indies win!!!
A four from Akeal Hosein down the ground and there is the win for West Indies. They have won the game by two wickets. It is also the first time that the side has registered a consecutive win over India in the T20I format.
Not a good one for Mukesh Kumar but West Indies will be pleased with it. Alzarri Joseph has hit the bowler for a six towards the deep mid-wicket and West Indies now need 5 runs in 10 balls. It's their game to lose from here.
A fuller ball from Arshdeep Singh and Akeal Hosein played it really well on the off side for a four. That is poor bowling from Arshdeep as it was bowled really wide. West Indies need 17 runs in 17 balls now.
India vs West Indies Live: India lose both reviews!
16.3 - It was an appeal for LBW and umpire was unconvinced. A Mukesh Kumar delievry had hit Akeal Hosein on the pad. India took a review and the ball was found to be pitching down the leg stump. They lost their second review as well and are left with none now.
A Ravi Bishnoi delivery struck Shimron Hetmyer on the front pad but umpire was unconvinced with the appeal. Rightly so as India's review revealed that the ball was pitching down the leg stump. It happened on the second ball of the over. West Indies need 26 runs in 30 balls.
Nicholas Pooran is out! It seems it is too late for India now as West Indies need 27 runs in 36 balls. Coming to the wicket, Pooran hit the ball straight into the hands of Sanju Samson at cover-point. Pooran departs for 67 runs off 40 balls.
India vs West Indies Live: West Indies need 36 in 42!
West Indies are bossing this game. They need 36 runs in 42 balls. It is a cakewalk for the Pooran-Hetmyer duo from here. They should get to the target well in time.
12.2 - A short ball from Arshdeep Singh and Shimron Hetmyer pulls it away for an 84-metre six. West Indies are in a hurry to finish this game now. They need 39 runs in 45 balls.
This is West Indies' game to lose from here. They need only 47 to win off the remaining 48 balls. Credit for their dominance in this chase goes to Nicholas Pooran, who has single-handedly kept the Indian bowlers at bat. India, on the other hand, badly need some wickets to stand a chance in this game.
A ray of hope for India. Hardik Pandya has dismissed Rovman Powell. It was a short ball and Powell slashed it into the hands of Mukesh Kumar at third man. West Indies go four down with that wicket. Powell departs for 21 off 19 balls.
Nicholas Pooran raced to his half-century in 29 balls. This is a brilliant knock from the southpaw. He looked settled in the crease from the word go and kept attacking the Indian spinners to make sure West Indies stayed ahead in this chase of 153 runs.
A short ball outside off stump and Nicholas Pooran placed it well in front of the point fielder for a boundary. The next ball was also hit for a four. Pooran retained the strike on the final ball of the over. 10 runs came off Mukesh Kumar's first over.
Nicholas Pooran has started his innings in the second game with a similar form from the first one. After scoring only one run off the first five balls he faced, Pooran took the aerial route and slammed a Hardik Pandya delivery for a six. He later hit a four in the over before rotating the strike.
1.2 - Arshdeep Singh caught Nicholas Pooran in front of the stumps with a fuller and outswinging delivery. Umpire had raised his finger but Pooran decided to go upstairs. It turned out to be a good decision as the ball was found to be missing the off stump. Arshdeep is getting some really good movement on the ball.
Another one bites the dust! Hardik Pandya has got the wicket of Johnson Charles on the fourth ball of his first over. West Indies are in big-big trouble. Charles drove the ball into the hands of Tilak Varma at point.
What a start for India this is! Hardik Pandya has struck on the very first ball of the innings. It was a fuller delivery bowled by the pacer and Brandon King drove it into the hands of Suryakumar Yadav at cover.
So, the target for West Indies is 153 runs. The hosts bowled really well tonight as India managed to post a fighting total of 152 for 7 in 20 overs. Tilak Varma -- who scored 51 runs off 41 balls -- showed good promise but he lacked support from other India batters. Alzarri Joseph (2 for 28) was the pick of the bowlers for Windies.
Romario Shepherd gets the wicket of Axar Patel on the first ball of the last over. Axar departs for 14 runs off 12 balls. It is the second wicket for Shepherd.
Hardik Pandya had hit a six on the second ball of the over and Alzarri Joseph gets his revenge on the final ball. It was a slower yorker from Joseph and Hardik failed to block it properly. The ball bumped from his bat and hit the stumps. Hardik departs at the score of 24 off 18.
Tilak Varma will have to depart at the score of 51 off 41 balls. It was a short ball from Akeal Hosein and Varma failed to take advantage of it. He rather mishit the ball into the hands of Obed McCoy at deep backward square leg.
A superb reverse-sweep from Tilak Varma for a four. He judged the line and length of the Akeal Hosein delivery really well and put it away for a four towards the third man region. Varma took a single on the next ball to retain strike.
India vs West Indies Live: West Indies bowling well!
West Indies bowlers have muzzled the Indian batters with disciplined attack. They are bowling tight lines and run-scoring has not been easy for the visitors so far in Guyana. This seems like a 150-160 wicket, but India need to accelerate to even get near to that total.
