The heavens opened up and washed out the first session and continued to play hide and seek on Monday before the match was eventually called off. West Indies were 76 for 2 at Stumps on Day 4, needing 289 runs to beat India. On the other hand, the guests needed 8 wickets to win. India had declared their second innings at 181 for 2, setting a 365-run target for the hosts. The Rohit Sharma-led side sealed the series 1-0 as it had won the first game by an innings and 141 runs.
