India was gripped with Shubman Gill fever for the past one year. And rightly so! Gill has been India's top-scorer in ODIs in 2023 with 1230 runs to his name at an average of 72.35 and a strike rate of just above 105. He has scored five centuries and five fifties this year with the best of 208. But it is fever that has taken him down. Shubman Gil is going to miss out the first match of India's 2023 World Cup campaign against Australia. Gill is reportedly down with high fever and has been tested for dengue. And if that is confirmed it will mean that India's most prolific batter this year might be out for 7-9 days depending on how long it takes him to recover and get match fit.
